Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering above a crowded coastal beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as spectators observed.
Footage shared on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the border of the shore, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their injuries were not yet released.
